Neighbor shoots cat with a crossbow. Not cool.

Thoughts

1. When is it ever ok to shoot your neighbor’s pet? We see it over and over again…like what is wrong with people?
2. You can see different states and different municipalities are all over the place on this issue. In Wyoming a while back, neighbor shoots and neighbor dog, no criminal charges.
3. How does this relate to property rights? We don’t know where the cat was shot…was the cat shot on the neighbor’s property?
4. 4 years in prison! For shooting a neighbor’s cat? The fellow yesterday who sexually abused his tenants was given a fine of 167k and told to not manage property again. Sentencing in the United States is all over the place.
5. As an agent, say you’re selling your home because your neighbor shot your cat. Should that be disclosed? I mean, it’s not house related but it sure is location related. Clearly, this isn’t the neighborly thing to do…
