Thoughts
1. I always tell my buyers when we first meet that I will usually be super quiet during showings because you never know who is listening. So, for example, even if you love the house…you should NEVER discuss offer price inside the home
2. Some houses are so bad…so overpriced…so terrible inside that I don’t care at that point and will say whatever just because I truly don’t care if the seller hears me or not. If they do, even better.
3. I have had sellers that do have cameras for security, and they do listen in on buyers…one had a ring camera and that thing goes on whenever there is motion right to the phone…so it wasn’t like they were trying to spy…and in fact, it was helpful because there was a random guy that just showed up casing the house. The second time on a different house the camera picked up the home inspector for the buyer saying how nice the house was and that the buyer made a good choice.
4. What do you think? Should sellers have to alert buyers that cameras and recording devices are in use? Leave me a comment in the comment section…I’m curious.
