Lots of things to discuss today! We started off with answering the question of what is one of my favorite things to do during the process of helping a home buyer buy a home. You’ll have to watch the video or listen to the podcast to find out 😉

Then we moved on to a discussion about Trump and Twitter. Was the ban ever warranted in the first place? Why is Twitter always in the news? The politico story mentions that Twitter’s actions might cause other social media platforms to examine theirs with regards to Trump. I don’t think that is likely and I don’t think it needs to be true. Each platform should do what it thinks is best and the users can choose whether or not to stay or go.

We followed up with lots of tweets…my personal favorite was Kira Mason for the day but Texas Runner DFW and Andres Gazdecki also had interesting things to say.

Finally, we read what must have been a planted article on the use of QR codes in the real estate world. John doesn’t see QR codes as his biggest issue right now, as he isn’t currently listing a mansion in Australia, which was the example used, so maybe there is a higher adoption rate in other countries.

Also, curious paragraph in the article dealing with data scraping from QR codes…and how one real estate company never does that..which is an odd thing to confess to not doing when QR codes are perfect for doing just that.

If you were at a social gathering and you were talking to someone and you said, hey, do you happen to have a business card, and the person whipped out their cell phone and turned the back of it to you in your face, how would you respond? Would you instinctively get out your cell phone and scan their QR code? Great. I wouldn’t. I would be confused as to why you were showing me the back of your phone.
