So, we look at an article written by someone and see if we agree or disagree

Thoughts

1. Ignoring your credit. Agree

2. House hunting without a buyer’s agent definitely agree

3. Shopping with your heart vs. your head. interesting

4. Overlooking the larger financial picture. not sure

5. Treating Real Estate like a short-term investment. Not sure

6. Forgetting about the appraisal. Need more

7. Making a money mistake before closing…agree

8. Skipping the home inspection…agree

9. Getting the wrong mortgage…this is a difficult one

10. Putting less than 20% down…arguable

11. Sticking with the first lender you talk to….weird

12. Not investigating programs for first time homebuyers…so that’s kind of like Number 11

13. Buying discount points…interesting…I have not met anyone who has bought down their mortgage…but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen

14. Skipping the fine print…so agree

15. Backing out of the deal…we don’t often talk about his but a good point.

16. Rushing into a fixer-upper. Definitely can be an issue

17. Borrowing too much…so that’s something that could be related to other home buying mistakes.
